feedbackMy name is Taylor and I am currently insured through a new employer. Several months ago, I was with my old employer and under their insurance plan. I was dealing with a serious stomach issue and mental health issues. I went to the hospital several times in a few months. In June, I hit my head when I passed out from stomach pain. I went to the hospital, my deductible was not paid and I was expecting a $1000 plus bill. I got billed over $5000. When I asked for an itemized receipt of my charges, I found that the radiologist that did my CT head scan, was a third party contractor that did not accept my insurance. I was not made aware of this before I got the scan done. I am currently fighting to pay over $5000 in medical bills, half of which is now sitting in collections because I was not made aware of the third party vendor.
